Telescope Mount 3D Print Model
Summary
I made this mount for my telescope to take pictures of the eclipse, and the results are amazing! Shot with a small kit telescope, with a magnification of 35x, I was even able to see sunspots. Here’s a timelapse of the eclipse through my phone https://youtu.be/1nUuXQIDXN8.
This adapter uses a new screw mechanism compared to the old one from my other design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2477689). It’s an inverse of Canon’s DSLR lens attaching mechanism. After multiple failed attempts of making a proper thread with my rotary tool (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2490290), out of impatience, I decided to try a screw-on piece that didn’t require a high resolution for faster prototyping. This new design only requires 1/3 of a turn to fit on, making it very easy to swap out with other lenses if needed.

This case is specific for the galaxy s7 edge.
Depending on the popularity of this, I may make a proper universal adapter using the screw design and adapter pieces for common binoculars.

I built this machine around my electronics, so some considerations…The inner arm holes are NOT FC mounting holes, they aren’t meant to line up. Both my PDB and FC have flat bottoms, thus they are both servo taped to the mid/ top plates
I’m using a microscopic FPV cam out of an Inductrix FPV
The VTX mounting scheme is designed around an FT958
The HD cam mount is 36mm wide, so should be great for Foxeer 1/2, Runcam 2, Mobius, YMMV with box style cams.

12-Slot Payload Release/Cargo Drop for DJI Matrice 600 / S1000 3D Print Model

Controlled by A3 shutter channel. Release single slot each time when pressing the shutter button. +5v power from SBus port. Arduino is converting the shutter pulse to 12 steps on linear servo.

I designed this case to hold my spare nozzles for my Prusa i3. The case is printed in one piece with functional hinge and clip to keep the case closed when not in use. Never mislay those nozzles again. This one has text ‘Nozzles 0.4mm’ let me know if you would prefer one that just says ‘Nozzles’ or blank and i will add additional versions.
This version uses less supports as the top is printed directly off the build plate so only support required is for the hinge.

EVA Pod from 2001: A Space Odyssey 3D Print Model
OK, so a while ago and number of the Hutt City Library Staff and I tackled the huge task of printing the magnificent Discovery Model (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:950664) that was created by metaform3d (https://www.thingiverse.com/metaform3d/about). In my opinion, metaform3d’s model is one of the best designed 3D printing models I have ever come across. I learned a lot about good design from working with this project. Anyway, I was keen to print off the EVA pod that also featured in the same films (2001: A Space Odyssey and 2010 Odyssey 2) as a separate project. I had seen a number of models on Thingiverse, but they were just the an STL version of the model that has been circulating around the web since the Internet was created. I see that some people have succeeded in printing them, but the digital model is very poor quality and for most slicing programs, not printable. It was also fairly low polygon.

Pi-Pilot 3D Print Model

When you need mythological salvation, look for a “sky pilot.”
When you need salvation from a slightly-too-small inside diameter, look for a pi-pilot! (Pipe-pilot. Get it? Anyone?)
This is a guide to keep a spade bit from wandering and chattering while reaming a PVC pipe or fitting (or other soft material with an existing hole) to a larger size.
The included STL files may or may not work for you without adjustment. Your best bet would be to edit the .scad file and generate your own. If you need to fit something other than a 7/8-inch bit, you have no choice at the moment.

You would be well-advised to take exact measurements of the spade bit you intend to use, as they vary in dimensions between manufacturers.
I was able to print this without supports so required cleanup was minimal. I did have to do some sanding due to poor printer calibration.
I included a “slop factor” of 1.25 since my Prusa i3 is long overdue for recalibration. If your printer is spot-on, you might be able to set the slop_factor value to 1.
Post-Printing
Assembly is straightforward: Insert the bit into the guide body; snap the pilot section over the top, and start reaming!
When using this I found that a brand-new spade bit still tends to “grab” a bit, so be prepared for it. You might even try running the drill in reverse, although I have not. Drilling generates heat, and the PVC pipe will tend to soften. Lubricating with water while in use may be helpful though messy. The “results” photo is with an earlier iteration, but the principal is the same. -

Having two bearings that did not serve, I had the idea to design my own unwinder.

Fractal Design 3D Print Model
Summary
This design was made using Meshmixer and the program “Structure Synth” which you can download here:http://structuresynth.sourceforge.net/download.php
To print, I scaled the model up by a factor of 10.
The fractal uses the code below to make 25 iterations; each cube at scale .95 is rotated along every axis by 10 degrees

STEADY 3 – Camera stabilizer 3D Print Model
Summary
I designed glidecam(also on thingiverse) exactly one year ago… it’s time for update!!!
I found out its very similar to professional ones.
I promise you will be amazed by results when you will be filming with it.
New one is much better than old one and it’s very easy to make it so you must print it !

SphereO The cute and simple spacecraft 3D Print Model
Summary
I made this from a simple sphere on VECTARY. It was suppose to just be a simple alien, sci-fi spaceship. But everyone I show it too say it looks like the head or a helmet. While that was unexpected it does give a funny impression that the aliens are driving around in a giant head or helmet. I can see aliens stepping out of the ship with the same looking head.

I did print this without any infill, however I did not enable any special mode such as a vase mode. I just changed the infill to zero. -
Dual mosfet mount for Melzi board 3D Print Model
Summary
Call me paranoid, after the connect melt on the Melzi board, I order 2 mosfet for both hotbed and extruder figured they both heat up, if hotbed connect can fail, so do extruder.
Grab rawlogic’s standoff and remix it to hold 2 module. -
