The Lockheed vertical riser, developed at the same time as Convair’s Pogo. Both machines used similar Allison YT-40 coupled engines and large diameter contra-rotating propellers. Flown by Herman ”Fish” Salmon, the design was initially tested in ¼-scale model form. Fully illustrated with photos and 3-view drawings.
