Modular Lithophane Lamp 3D Print Model
Summary
I wanted to find a more cost effective lamp after designing the bluetooth lithophane lamp. Every part of this is printable, all you have to buy is a USB LED and cable. I will drop a link and the end of the summary.
Simply print these parts (and 3 or more of the feet… I use 4), only print the coupler if you plan on stacking multiple lithophanes. Then print a lithophane the same size as the one in my bluetooth speaker thing. 254mm along the longest axis, make it 360 degrees. Height doesn’t matter and however you arrange your pictures doesn’t matter. Then put your parts together. Only glue on your pegs on the bottom and the base connector to the base (after running the USB cable through the hole), then use some thick double sided tape to tape in the LED. You may want to heat-shield the base since the LED gets hot over time and I don’t want anyone catching on fire… either that or limit the time you have the light plugged in (I had mine run for over an hour… it did warp the base slightly in the very center but that was all). I use PLA+ now, the stuff by esun is very good quality white PLA+. I like how it is more black and white than some of the cheaper filament (they tend to have a yellow hue).
I made this modular so that you can print as many lithophanes to go on it as you want… and even stack them (that is the purpose of the coupler) and you can easily swap them around and stack them a few high. I’ve only done two high but the light should be bright enough to go five high or more. It can also double as a flashlight, haha. I’ve powered mine from a USB juice box and taken it on trips to show off as well.

If you solder, any old USB cable will work, just cut the end (the opposite end of the one that plugs into a power supply) and solder the red and black leads. If you don’t solder, then you can get a USB extender and simply plug this USB LED into it. After I solder it I use some heat-shrink to make it look good. I included a picture of the LED soldered on. That is just an example, make sure to use electrical tape, liquid tape or heat-shrink.

Modular mini-window holder w/ blinds 3D Print Model
Summary
Are you looking for a modicum of privacy in your bathroom or office while keeping the breeze flowing, all without paying for highly customized blinds? Well, look no more (except at an angle)… your modular window-holder-upper blinds are here.
These panels fit together well, with enough space to slightly alter their angle, yet fit flat enough to glue (or not) anytime. These panels are 133mm length (in order for my 533mm windowsill to have an equal 4 across) by 140mm tall, by 15mm depth (fits into the slot under the window).
You can certainly shorten or expand the length as you need. (I’ll create a customizer if there are requests, otherwise any tool should allow this).
The ‘pyramids’ at the top of the print is my (successful) attempt to avoid supports. Only supports printed are at the very bottom cylinder opening.

I printed at 10% infill, and it works, but I’d recommend 15%. I also did 8000mm/min speed, which slightly shows every-other-layer back and forth issues. 6k would probably work better. Even at 8k/10%, 4 of these took ~10 hours to print and 1/3rd of a 1kg spool. -

Jumbo Glue Stick Holder for Ultimate Modular Tool Holder Rack 3D Print Model
Summary
This is a remix of the glue stick holder from the Ultimate Modular 3D Printer Tool Holder Rack by Lay3rWorks. This part will hold a larger size glue stick up to about 28mm.
The two pieces fit together very snug, I have been using mine without any glue so far but will probably glue it together eventually. I found the easiest way to get the two parts together is to put the two open ends in place and then press up slightly on the rounded backside to get it into place.
I’ve posted the 123DX file as well as the STL so feel free to modify it as needed. This is the first thing I’ve ever remixed and posted so let me know if it needs more work.

The prefab file uses Maya references for maximum reuse of existing geometry.All models are properly and cleanly UV mapped with overlapping albedo, and non-overlapping lightmap sets.All models are as clean and low-poly as possible to allow for the maximum number of buildings in a single scene and the best possible performance.All models are comprised of quads and/or triangles.Polygon count represents the total number of polygons for all individual pieces.All prefabs use mesh instancing for 100% reuse of existing geometry.Second storey prefabs are included for building houses with two floors.Preview images were rendered using Maya Hardware 2.0 with the default light set, anti-aliasing and screen-space ambient occlusion enabled.Tiling diffuse textures in PNG format are included up to 1024×1024, including a normal map for the brick walls and a specular map for the window glass.Models have been inspected on the Oculus Rift to ensure they are of acceptable size and proportion in virtual reality.No plugins were used in the creation of these models.Unique and meaningful names for all objects, materials, and textures.

Modular (Vape Juice) Bottle Holders 3D Print Model
Summary
Modular organizers for standard 60mL and 30mL bottles. Designed for vape juice bottles.
With 0.3mm layer height and 10% infill, I was able to print each one in under an hour; they are designed to use a small amount of filament while at the same time being stable enough to hold the bottles and snap together.
I included a “blankModule” so that this design can be modified to organize other items.
There is a smaller and a larger holder for 30mL bottles, the larger one fits the glass bottles, while the smaller one fits the plastic dropper bottles. -

Modular Sewer Tunnel asset for games and realtime applications. Four unique pieces that are modelled to grid and will snap seamlessly with textures. Each of the pieces can be rotated to create many kinds of variations for a tunnel system.Fully UV unwrapped models with two UVs, one for textures and one for lightmaps. Modular gaming hills 3D Print Model
Summary
This is a set of pieces that lets you make hills for wargaming and roleplaying games. The pieces can be snap fitted together with the applied clip. There are different sizes so check out the possible combinations. Not everything fits with everything visually.
You can make full round hills, or edge hills (from two pieces) or corner hills (from one piece).
You should be able to print with very low infill. I use 5% honeycomb.
The hills on the pictures have been painted with different techniques. The desert hill is painted dark muddy brown the drybrushed with a lighter color. They dark grassy hill is painted black and then drybrushed with lighter and lighter grays. The lighter hills are painted white and then washed with yellow, red, brown and black.
The hills are textured and flocked with a simple technique. Thin down PVA glue with 50% water. Paint on. Sprinkle sand and grit on them. Let dry. Spray or paint with PVA glue 80% water. Let dry again.

Teal Modular Addon System 3D Print Model
Summary
Following the quick-swap, modular mentality of the Teal Sport, this ‘thing’ is a modular addon system that allows for modules to be snapped into the top and bottom of the drone. A few addon modules are shown here, but the possibilities are endless.
Rocket Launcher
The rocket launcher module attaches two rockets beneath the drone. The rockets shown are based on the 1/4A rocket motor. Launch control is handled by an arduino and some supporting circuitry (an Arduino is overkill, but it’s simple to show). Launch could be triggered through an additional radio or by detecting certain movement patterns with an accelerometer.

Note: I do not own this drone so exact dimensions may need tweaking. If I win this contest, I will for sure be fleshing out and building the rocket launcher 🙂 -
