Summary
When I started printing the Reuleauxminx that I posted last week, I began running into some issues that I hadn’t foreseen. To make the necessary tweaks, I decided to get a normal megaminx working first (simpler external piece geometries = faster prototyping).
Here’s the result, a rough but functional megaminx. No center caps, so you’ll have to deal with exposed screws unless you remix the design, and the clearances are a bit iffy, so be prepared to sand accordingly. I’ll get around to a higher quality version of this later, but I really want a physical reuleauxminx in my hands as soon as possible, so I’m moving on to that.
