This is my version of a fix for the old volkswagen GTI shift knobs that commonly crack and break from old age. I have only printed the top part, but I decided to include the top and base as files. I printed it in PLA at 195C and 60C print bed. Seems to fit really well.

Nissan Versa Note Radio Knob Insert 3D Print Model
Summary
The knobs on my Nissan Versa Note radio consist of three parts. There is a black part that actually connects to the shaft and turns it. There is a chrome piece that goes on top of that, and then there is a black disk that goes on top and has hooks that push through to the bottom piece to hold all three pieces together.
One of mine was missing the top piece, so I built it and printed it. The last two pictures show mine and the original look on another knob. Not perfect, but much better than the blank black knob in the first picture. -

LCD Knob with a thumb sub-knob 3D Print Model
Summary
As for many of us, the knob that came in the kit was not working properly and got lost on the second day (or night, not sure, not enough sleep).
I wanted a small knob, that would allow to quickly change the speed of the print (as I’m twitchy during the night prints, usually worse by 4 am).
I’ve added a finger-tip knob onto the knob, to allow for faster/lazier spinning of the dial.
If it works for you, I’m glad. If it doesn’t, don’t bill me for the fill.
PS: Feel free to adjust the height (Z) of the knob.
Original size was slightly exaggerated in order to accommodate for the bracket of the spool holder, which is a bit too close to the knob. -

Prusa i3 Mk2 Ergonomic Control Knob 3D Print Model
Summary
I wanted a better knob for the control panel on my Prusa i3 MK2, but none that I found on Thingiverse were quite what I wanted. I designed this version with two main advantages over others. First, it has a four-point star shape that comfortably accommodates your right thumb for navigation without looking away from the screen (with a recessed center area for clicking the current selection). And second, the back side has a flexible socket patterned after the original Prusa knob, which makes installation much easier than a simple hole on the back. In the sample shown, I changed filament near the end so that I’d have a contrasting ring in the center button area.

Because this part is relatively small, I opted for much more infill than I normally use on larger items. The 35% infill provided plenty of support for the concentric rings at the top. A smaller infill percentage might work just fine, but I haven’t tried it.
Due to the fine detail on the first layer, I found it helpful to print layer 1 at half the speed of the normal, already slower first layer. Also, a layer of glue stick on the build platform helped the details stick well. Once the second layer started, I cranked the speed back up to 100%, and the printing was easy after that. -

CR-10S Locking Bed Leveling Knob 3D Print Model
Summary
Inspired by orcusomega’s “Locking CR10/S4/S5 Bed Leveling Knob” (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2462249). This is a knob that you can insert an M4 lock nut into. The hole for the screw is not fully open. After printing there is a .4mm layer that you need to cut with a utility knife before use. No supports are necessary.
Quote from orcusomega’s notes:
“Requires a total of 8 M4 nylon locknuts. Remove the stock leveling wheels, and use one of the locknuts to keep the screw in place on the hot bed (being the nut all the way to the top,. making the screw stay in place without the need to hold the top with a screwdriver). Then replace the springs. Insert the remaining M4 locknuts into the wheels and thread them on – wala!” -

Trash Compactor Knob 3D Print Model
Summary
bought a trash compactor at a Habitat For Humanity ReStore, and it came with out a knob, so i made one up real quick.
this fit a bit tight with my printer, but it works flawlessly in the compactor.
you may have to fudge the dimensions a bit, or do some post-processing to get it to work.
it does need supports to print this.
i printed it with the knob face down, and supports for the overhangs. -

Replacement Oven Dial Knob 3D Print Model
Summary
I get really attached to my kitchen items. Each one has been carefully chosen at the time of purchase to fulfill a specific purpose and my heart breaks when, after decades of use, a small part either disappears or just craps out, rendering the whole thing unusable.
Well, I’m not gonna let that happen to my beloved Toastmaster toaster oven, doggone it! So, the timer knob popped off and never really fit on again. So, I pulled out the calipers, dusted off the ol’ 3D printer and came up with this thing. Fits perfectly. Lovely, even.
If you found this useful, it would bring me great joy to see your work – so be sure to share. 🙂
Or, better yet, please feel free to dump a bitcoin or two here (you can spare a bitcoin, can’t ya?):

… include a note to the effect of “Hi 3E8, thanks for the Toastmaster dial thing… my life is infinitely better on account of it and please accept this paltry amount in gratitude”.
You’re welcome! (in advance) 😀

Fader knob 3D Print Model
Summary
Had broken a couple of faders on my Phonic Summit mixer so I modeled this from the existing faders. I’m pretty sure this will fit other mixers as well with minor adjustments.
The center groove is meant to be painted white in oreder to easily align the fader to the underlying scale.

There’s a lot of thin walls here so make sure that your slicer allows some overlap. Supports are necessary to fill the short distance btween the fader foot and the upper body. I use dense support in S3D slicer for best results.
Use ABS to allow for a little flexing. PLA is a bit too hard and will probably make the fitting difficult. -

Tevo Tarantula Bed Level Knob WIDE 3D Print Model
Summary
Created this using TinkerCad, inspiration from the CR-10 bed level knob created by Valsrath. I was immediately spoiled by how easy it was to bed level once I had his knobs installed on my machine. Wanted the same experience for my Tevo, hadn’t yet seen anything like this, so I made my own. It’s a tight fit, intentionally, highly recommend removing the bed level nuts and then gently hammer them in place.
Designed this to use minimal amount of filament, but does appear to be plenty strong. I printed this on my CR-10. -

Mazda 3 Shift Knob 3D Print Model
Summary
My shift knob in my 2007 Mazda 3 broke, so instead of just buying a new one I created my own simple one. The picture shown does not have the knob screwed on all the way, it does go all the way down to the boot.
I was worried about printing this upright and using support, but it worked just great. I have since printed it upright without support so it is whatever you want to do with your specific printer.
The thread on it is M10x1.25, so even though I did this for a Mazda 3 it should fit any shifter that has that thread on it. It was a little hard to twist on, but I prefer that to ensure it won’t come off while driving.
I printed mine with a higher infill than I usually do (35%vs10%), this is because of the force that will be put on the center thread/core while shifting. I wanted give it a little more robustness while driving.
I hope at least one person finds this useful, it is my first upload to Thingiverse. Enjoy.

Shower knob ring 3D Print Model
Summary
At home we have a shower which has two knobs, one for the temperature and another for the water flow. Both knobs have a button which has to be pressed to fully turn the knob, with the temperature knob this is kinda obvious because you don’t accidentally want to twist the knob to the highest temperature, but I always want the water flow to be on the highest setting so I was annoyed by the button I have to press every time I twist the knob, so I made a ring which holds down the button.
This ring is for an elliptical knob with a width of 40mm and a height of 45mm

Pontiac Grand Am Air Control knob 3D Print Model
Summary
This should work with a few grand am’s because I believe a lot of there air flow knobs are the same. I made the hole a little small due to the tolerances of my printer so you may need to make it slightly bigger if it does not fit. Other than printing with no supports print settings shouldn’t matter. -
