Khondze Masamune is the most famous of the swords created by the distinguished Japanese armorer Masamune, and is believed to be one of the finest Japanese swords ever to have existed at all. This is the most famous historical relic of the Edo period (1603-1868); by tradition the sword was transferred from one ruling shogun to another.
