RAMPS RRD Fan Extender Expansion Module – NOTES 3D Print Model
Summary
There is a bunch of conflicting information around relating to these fan extender boards, and at least two different types that look very similar. Note the position of LEDs and components on this board.
I was concerned about plugging the 12v input in backwards, and ended up needing to find out the hard way, which wasn’t actually hard and didn’t release any magic smoke.
Adding this to the search result noise for completeness. -

Toranado Power Tower Raspberry Pi Ramps 1.4 Full Graphics 3D Print Model
Summary
New improved version of the original popular thing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:894503
Improvements:Pass thru header connector system!!!
larger more stable base
Toranado Extruder themed styling
Full Graphics Controller
Raspberry Pi mounted inside unit (with power converter)
Mounting provisions for both Mechanical or Mosfet relay boards for heat bedDetails, links for electronic components & firmware downloads are at http://bigcooter.com/?p=1584!
The pass thu header connector system utilizes popular JST connectors for hot end and auxiliary circuits. The stepper motors and sensors utilize Dupont pin headers. The high current heating bed 2 circuits are now designed for using Aptiv 2.8mm automotive terminals (male terminals locked in place with self tapping screws, mates to commercially avaialbe Aptiv unsealed 2way APEX 2.8 female connector … another option for this connection could be to use the popular XT-60 connector used on my R/C battery connectors (feel free to remix and contribute!). NOTE: I have include one Pin-Out example, file which can be altered, printed out and taped to back of unit for reference, highly recommended!! -

FLSUN Prusa i3 RAMPS Container 3D Print Model
Summary
I’m working on cleaning up my printer station and couldn’t find a container for my RAMPS board that I liked, so I’ve designed this one. I haven’t printed it yet so it most likely still needs tweaks. As soon as I finish printing my enclosure brackets I will be making this next.
I’m using an 80mm wide and 30mm deep fan for cooling the board.
The idea of the design is that the cables will come in through the large circle opening, can be wrapped around the pegs to shorten them, then run them through the gaps to the board itself. The fan cable is fed through the small hole in the corner of the fan guard, then through the hole in the lid. The latch on the right hand side is meant to go on first, then the one on the left (really not sure if that’s going to work or not).
Because I’m building an enclosure I didn’t design the mounts to attach to the frame of the printer but to the outside wall.
The only sections that should need support is on the fan guard depending on which side you print up, and possibly the latches on the container itself.
If anyone notices anything I got wrong, suggestions for changes, etc, please let me know! If you print one, let me know how it went! -
