Compact Card Holder – 3d printed model 3D Model
This card holder can store up to 6 cards (credit cards, debit cards, business cards, etc.) and also has additional space for ID cards (up to 3 cards). It is a compact pocket-size design. Not recommended for money because it has no clip to hold the bills inside. Also as it is 3d-printed, it has no protection against magnetic fields.Final Dimensions:9.5 cm x 7.9 cm x 1.4 cm (around 3 3/4 in. x 3 1/16 in. x 9/16 in)It is designed in 2 parts that can be assembly together (with a little use of force) in the hinge. No glue needed.The hole in the base let you put your finger inside to pop out the cards. This improvement let you take your cards without the need to turn all the holder around. The same is for the hole in the ID side. This allows you to slide the card with your finger avoiding the need to turn around the holder.Recomendation:I got better results printing it with 3 layers of thickness and medium hollow fill. Can be printed at 0.3 mm but you get a smoother result at higher resolution (as 0.2mm or better), but that increases the print time. I got better results using ABS filament.Also I have printed (with better results) the base in horizontal layout but the id holder in vertical layout. This ensure that the orientation of the filament will be perpendicular to the force of the moving parts. Modular mini-window holder w/ blinds 3D Print Model
Summary
Are you looking for a modicum of privacy in your bathroom or office while keeping the breeze flowing, all without paying for highly customized blinds? Well, look no more (except at an angle)… your modular window-holder-upper blinds are here.
These panels fit together well, with enough space to slightly alter their angle, yet fit flat enough to glue (or not) anytime. These panels are 133mm length (in order for my 533mm windowsill to have an equal 4 across) by 140mm tall, by 15mm depth (fits into the slot under the window).
You can certainly shorten or expand the length as you need. (I’ll create a customizer if there are requests, otherwise any tool should allow this).
The ‘pyramids’ at the top of the print is my (successful) attempt to avoid supports. Only supports printed are at the very bottom cylinder opening.

I printed at 10% infill, and it works, but I’d recommend 15%. I also did 8000mm/min speed, which slightly shows every-other-layer back and forth issues. 6k would probably work better. Even at 8k/10%, 4 of these took ~10 hours to print and 1/3rd of a 1kg spool. -

Summary
This item was created to provide a stable near card position on a standard phoropter near rod. Printing in two pieces allows for rotation around the pivot. The frame was designed to fit the OSU College of Optometry Near Cards, which can be purchased from the OSU College of Optometry (https://optometry.osu.edu/sites/default/files/PDFs/IMC_Materials_List_20170928.pdf). The design allows for multiple card insertion with visibility from each side as the card is rotated. Elimination of a standard phoropter attachment clip provides increased stability. -

CR-10 Spool Holder 3D Print Model
Summary
I wanted a better spool holder, but didn’t want to completely do away with the stock bracket. This is essentially a sleeve bearing designed to fit over the stock 32mm pipe. It prints in four pieces (you need two dividers) and uses 32x 4.5mm steel BB’s. It can hold any filament spool with a center hole of 54mm or larger.
Print as upright cylinders, no supports. I recommend a brim as it’s not a ton of surface area to stick down. -

Flex tentacle tool holder 3D Print Model
Summary
This is a triplet of twisted tentacles that can hold a tool or something similar. It is made to be printed with flexible filament.
The tentacle base slips over the knob on the holder. The holder can be screwed to things like a magnetic base (as shown).
How I Designed This
The shape was made from a mathematical shape created with the Octave Isosurface function, and warped into something that looked good. I imported the resulting raw stl file into openscad where I added the mounting parts and the notation.
I started by playing with the fascinating “monkey saddle” (z=x*(x^2 – 3 y^2) ) which has three fold symmetry without trigonometry. I worked up an interesting shape in Mathematica, but transferred it to Octave, since it is open source. -
Lee Hardness Tester Peg Board Holder 3D Print Model

Though the overall design isn’t tremendously unique, but the sizing and specifications are unique to my setup. This was designed to mount on an Ikea Linnmon desk table top, which is 34mm thick, and the headphone holder is a perfect fit for my Audio-Technica ATH-M50x headphones. There’s also a hook under the holder for cable management and a hole on the end to hold a 1/4″ stereo jack adapter.

Nut Driver Set Holder 3D Print Model
Summary
I’m not sure if this exact nut driver set holder will be of any use to others, but I am putting it up here so someone else might benefit from my design.
I inherited a set of nut drivers without a case. I wanted to wall mount them and wanted them to stay put in the wall mount. The bottom piece holds small rare earth magnets (6mm or 8mm in diameter x 3mm thick). These hold the nut drivers in securely in place while still allowing them to be easily removed. The magnets are a tight fit and need to be pressed in place. I also put a drop of super glue on the edge of each magnet to make sure that they don’t accidentally come out.
Assembling this is a tight fit. I had to put the pieces together on the floor, stand on the top piece and jump a tiny bit. After that I then used a rubber mallet to get them to sit fully flush. I put in three screw holes which probably aren’t necessary, but hey, over engineering is the American way! -

I do not know what heat can be released by the diode but you should print it in ABS or PETG ( or others Thermal resist material ).
The Diode is fixed with 2 M2X12mm Screws and nuts ( Screws on pictures have 19mm )
It need support ( I put 80° Overhang Angle Support ) just to have the support needed…

Fan / Light controller holder 3D Print Model

Fan/Light controller holder
Many years ago the pull fan switch broke in one of our bedrooms. The replacement switch was no longer ‘available’. So instead of buying a new light/fan fixture I upgraded to a wireless fan/light controller. (Model FAN-9T) It worked great, the only problem was the controller. It kept getting moved all over, and it was impossible to turn it on (too many buttons) in a dark room!
So I designed this to hold the controller above the now unused light switch. And it allow someone to turn on the light and fan with the push of a button even in a dark room. What about the other buttons? Hardly ever used, but if you want to – the controller can be slipped out to operate the other buttons, and when done – slipped quickly back in. The perfect solution.

Use supports as needed. Make sure the fan and light buttons are ‘flat’ on your print bed. They tend to be lifted up slightly if just rotated for printing. This is because the case is smaller at the bottom than at the top.
Post-Printing
remove any supports. sand and file for switch clearance as necessary.
Use ‘Super Glue’ to assemble the body pieces.
With the spacer, the fan switch didn’t quite reach the button, so I super glued a little spacer to the bottom of the switch.
How I Designed This
Designed in Fusion 360. The first printing didn’t work and was a little too tight, so I added the spacer and split the body into three pieces for ease of printing.
There is also a mounting plate in case you want to mount under an existing light switch.
I just used double sided tape to secure it to the wall. -

FT-5 Adjustable Glass Holder – remix (heat insets) 3D Print Model

Remix of the FolgerTech FT-5 Adjustable Glass Holder (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2260982) I didn’t have enough of the 3mm square nuts to make the other version, but I do have heat insets that work quite nicely. This version is essentially the same as the original, but a little taller, and configured for heat set inserts instead.
Best printed in ABS or some other heat-resistant material.

Jumbo Glue Stick Holder for Ultimate Modular Tool Holder Rack 3D Print Model

This is a remix of the glue stick holder from the Ultimate Modular 3D Printer Tool Holder Rack by Lay3rWorks. This part will hold a larger size glue stick up to about 28mm.
The two pieces fit together very snug, I have been using mine without any glue so far but will probably glue it together eventually. I found the easiest way to get the two parts together is to put the two open ends in place and then press up slightly on the rounded backside to get it into place.
I’ve posted the 123DX file as well as the STL so feel free to modify it as needed. This is the first thing I’ve ever remixed and posted so let me know if it needs more work.

Peg Board Tool holder 3D Print Model
Summary
I made these to hold all manner of things on my pegboards, from paint brushes to razor blades. The hexagon pattern is the cut down on material costs and it just looks cool. The ones in the photos were printed at low quality but high infill for strength. They fit very securely on the pegboard, it takes a little force to get them on but they are solid once they are. -

Sponge Holder Box for Hot Bed cleaning 3D Print Model
Summary
Like me, you have properly been wiping the printer hot bed for cleaning with a paper towel more times than you can remember – filling the paper bin with used towels.
I found the solution for me and it will properly also work for you – A sponge in a box, preventing it from drying out.
The box has a size to fit standard kitchen cleaning sponges (the cheap ones with heavy cleaning nylon on one side).
Just cut off the nylon part and slice it to the length you want. This is approximately 12 mm for the small box and 20 mm for the standard box.
I print a lot of PETG and therefore my sponge is wet with windows cleaner. Alternatively disc wash and water. You know best what is needed for your printing…
Don’t use solvents that can dissolve the printed box – just a warning.

Simple PCB Holder 3D Print Model
Summary
A simple holder for PCB work.
Print 2 of each STL file.
Push an M6 bolt through the top hole of a frame, slip on a spring (washers optional) and glue into a block.
Repeat.
2 pieces of M8 threaded bar through the bottom 2 holes. slide together to hold PCB, end frames will grip the threaded rod.
Wrap an elastic band around the each end of each thread if required or add some M8 nuts to cinch it up.

The glue only needs to be strong enough to prevent the spring pushing the block off the end of the bolt.
The spring should be able to grip the PCB without damaging it. (TIP: I cut the springs out of pump-action soap dispensers – just the job 🙂 – or buy a tray of assorted springs off eBay for a few quid.
