    This is a “Helping Hands Base” with built in Workbench Power Supply. It is still in beta, I have not printed it yet. The helping hands will be attached with holes in the top(I have not figured out placement yet). Attached to two of the helping hands will be a 80mm fan for soldering fumes.     This is a single piece version of dougc314’s helping hands design. It has 1/2 inch tapered pipe threads, so you don’t have to glue it to the pipe. Assembly is similar to the original design except with 1/2 inch pipe.

    In Slic3r PE, I used “support on build plate only” and set the contact Z distance to 0. This is required, otherwise the lower layers of the balls will curl up at the edges and get caught on the nozzle. After printing the support residue can be sanded off.

    Summary
    This is a simple remix to re-orient the ball-joint version of the first knuckle on the fingers and thumbs of the Combiner Wars hands made by Sickofyou. The vertical orientation led to parts that would sheer off and cause breakage, while laying them vertically should produce greater durability and the ability to handle a little more force applied.
    I used Tinkercad to orient the parts, move the flat spot of the ball joints to the side it rests on, and reinforce the issues with the mesh caused by importing it into Tinkercad. Print with the same settings you would use for the originals!
