BBQ 97mm to 40mm Blower Server Fan Duct press fit 1012 KH302 3D Print Model
Summary
this should also fit ANY fan with a output size of ~58mm x ~33mm
i designed this blower duct to attach to a Delta KH302 BFB1012EH blower fan, to use for stoking a fire pit which had a 50mm pipe put through it with air holes. to allow the middle of the fire to suck in air from outside
the outside of the top circle is 40mm and 33mm between the two flat sides.
it is a press fit onto the output of the fan.
thickness of the walls is about 2mm, however it does get quite thin in a couple of spots where the fan presses in.
Haribo Prusa i3 mk2
printed at 60mm/s
0.2mm layers
ABS @ 245C with a 40% fan in a enclosure which reaches about 50C
supports are required for the lip where the fan pushes in until.
this lip is about the same thickness as the fan case, so has a nice smooth airflow.
yet to test this on the fire pit, hoping that a 12v 3amp fan, moving a lot of air through the plastic will keep it cool enough to not melt. (thus why the walls are only 2mm thick)

Dual Vortex Fan Duct 3D Print Model
Summary
The Turbo Fan on a Qidi X-Pro truly lives up to its name. When it is on, it roars like a turbo jet on an airliner. If you listen closely, you can hear parts rattling from the vibration.
This redesigned Dual Vortex Fan Duct eliminates that noise by reducing vibration. The fan duct is fastened onto the carriage by two screws that are aligned with the extruder nozzles. Two additional clips next to the fan further dampens vibration from the fan.
Additional parts:
■ 2 x M3x20mm screws for carriage
■ 2 x M4x35mm screws and nuts for front clips
■ 1 x M4x20mm screws and nuts for blower fan
■ 1 x 6″ tie-wrap
Modification:
■ Clip the tie-wrap around the wiring bundle.
■ Gently wiggle an pull the fan wires out of the wiring bundle.
■ Tie the rest of the wiring bundle back in place with new tie-wrap.
■ Remove 2 screws that hold the dual-extruder onto the carriage.
New Assembly:
■ Push one M4 nut through the slot at the top (as pictured).
■ Snap fan into place and fasten it in with one M4x20mm screw.
■ Fasten fan duct onto the carriage and dual-extruder with two M3x20mm screws.
■ Fasten fan clips with two M4x35mm screws.
Printing Tips:
■ Print with “touching plate” support type at about 25% density.
■ Can be printed using ABS without turning on the print cooling fan. -

Duplicator i3 Plus (or Clone) Cooling Duct 3D Print Model
Summary
I was looking for a cooling duct for my Balco Touch 3D Printer (duplicator i3 Plus clone) that used the stock 40mm fan and liked the one created for the i3 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:969338) However the position of the cooling ring, the mount, fan mount and the depth did not fit my printer. I therefore modified the design to offset the cooling ring, correct the mounting, depth and fan mount to fit. This is the result which should fit any i3 Plus or clone with a stock 40mm fan. -

Monoprice Ultimate Cooling Duct 3D Print Model
Summary
Works with the Monoprice Ultimate and Duplicator 6 stock fan.
I decided to take a different approach to cooling…..I actually removed the shroud entirely! The problem with using typical style ducts in the first place is that no matter how open you make it, there’s always backdraft on your fan blades, meaning the pressure finds the path of the least resistance, and while one of those paths is your duct hole(s), some of them aren’t Using any style duct, if you feel behind the fan blades, you can feel this backdraft. -

Layer Fan Duct for MakerParts 3D printer 3D Print Model
Summary
Fan Duct for the MakerParts 3D printer. This one uses a 50mm Radial Fan. The fan itself has 56.7mm between mounting holes, and the output is a rectangle whose exterior dimensions are 19.3mm x 15mm
This thing works wonderfully, and attaches to the heatsink of the E3D v6. You NEED to place kapton tape around the aluminium block of the extruder, otherwise, the fan will cool it down so much the printer will stop extruding!
With this fan duct installed, i was able to print at 200mm/s with no quality loss at all!

Renkforce RF100 Part-Cooling duct 3D Print Model
Summary
I found the available fan-attachments for the RF100 to take up to much space around the printhead, or simply don’t produce enough airflow.
This cooling solution utilizes a radial fan design and can be attached to the printhead using already existing screws on the sides of the head.
It adds just about 15mm of depth and about 8mm of width to the printhead, so you can still extend the RF100s 10x10x10cm print area a bit if you like.
Post-Printing
Mounting
After printing and getting rid of support materials, unscrew the screws on the front and bottom of the printhead(behind the heaterblock on the 45 degree angle part), then attach the duct to the printhead using the two screws you removed earlier.
Attach the blower-fan (I use a Delta 5015 compatible model) and secure it to the printhead using either tape, or the provided mounting brackets (TODO: design mounting brackets)
How I Designed This
Designed in Fusion360 spending a lot of time measuring the printhead, printing, attaching, cursing, adjusting and reprinting. -
