    Originaly 3ds max 2014 scene with growing snowflake made with Mesher modifier from particles in PFlow with Birth Group from fractured snowflake petal consisted from core and shell parts.Snowflake divided on six petals(each pelal is core and shell) generated with Mesher modifiers from particles as described above. Each petal’s Mesher modifier has different time offset.Petal itself generated with PFlow using Script Operator with simple code which takes positions of the plane models for the shell and the core particle groups and depending of distance from the plane to the particle changes particle’s size.Shell and core have its own material. Model needs no textures and redered with two different materials(fresnel mask ant self-illumination add some nice look), but you can add textures if you wish. Before adding textures create UVs.*.Obj sequence included and has size 1.0Gb. You can use it in After Effects with Element3D plugin or in cinema4D for example.Video preview made in After Effects with Element3D plugin. Ae cc2015 project file included, just reimport obj sequence.FBX includes only complete final frame of the animation. Full growth animation only in the obj sequence

    Round Diamond Brilliant Faceting Ideal CutThe model is completely UV-mapped and smoothable, made with 3ds Max 2011 and V-Ray 2.40.Photo-realistic 3D model of Round Diamond, Brilliant Faceting, Ideal Cut. This model of diamond presents so-called “ideal cut”, mathematically calculated shape and proportions of brilliant faceting, which guarantee that light rays will not pass through the diamond but will reflect from its inner facets multiple times. The result of this are beautiful refractions with a lot of “rainbow” dispersion, that makes diamonds so pleasant to look at. Since the model provides precise proportions of “ideal cut” and accurate parameters of diamond material, the resulting renderings are the most life-like possible. Note, that all renderings of the model were made in absolutely neutral black and white studio environment. No colorful HDRI maps or colored lights were used. Also, the renderings are provided “as is”, without any post-processing, enhancements and after effects.To make the usage of the model as wider as possible, four topologies are provided:* NURBS GEOMETRY – the initial design of the model in a CAD program using NURBS shapes.     Summary
    This is a prop crystal for a light saber. Nothing fancy. There is one design for just the model. The second design includes supports. The ideal resin is a clear resin with a VERY small amount of dye added to create a translucent color. About 0.2 grams glow pigment per 100ml resin will give it a slight glow after exposure to light. Recommend UV protective coating to stunt curing of finished piece.
    After post-cure cleanup, using sanding to polish (up to 4000 wet sand is adequate) for glass effect. Polishing with rotary tool and rouge bar not recommended due to temperature issues.
