Bison latifrons skull 3D Print Model
Summary
This scan, performed by the Idaho Virtualization Lab of the Idaho Museum of Natural History, is of an ancient Bison latifrons skull owned by the Bureau of Reclamation. This cranium and horn cores is named Mary Lou. It was scanned at life-size, so please reduce (to between 5-6%) when 3D printing.
The specimen, owned by the Bureau of Reclamation, was part of a larger Bison latifrons 3D scanning project to bring fossils to the public virtually.

VKar Bison suspension Braces 3D Print Model

Since I acquired a VKar Bison, it broke on a few occasions. The way the suspension is mounted, I think it’s a week point. I do believe that using these braces will make the suspension more sturdy. Also using longer stainless steel screws will greatly improve the sturdiness. You will also get rid of the spacers that gets lost when the suspension breaks.
Try at your own risks. You will need screws at least 30 mm long.

Depuis que j’ai fais l’acquisition d’un Vkar Bison, j’ai eu mon lot de bris. La façon dont la suspension est raccordée, je crois que c’est un point faible. Je crois que ces supports vont renforcirs l’arrangement général. Je crois aussi que d’utiliser des vis plus longues en acier innoxidable contribuera à rendre le tout plus rigide. Ces supports éliminent aussi les petites baques d’écartements qui sont généralement perdues lors d’un bris.
Utiliser à vos risques, l’utilisation de vis d’au moins 30 mm de long est requis.
