    The CASA C-101 Aviojet is a low-wing single engine jet-powered advanced trainer and light attack aircraft. It remains in service in the Spanish Air Force and some other countries; it is also flown by the Patrulla Aguila aerobatics team.It was designed to replace the already outdated Hispano Saeta. Spanish aircraft maker CASA began work on the C-101 in 1975. Germany’s MBB and the USA’s Northrop helped with the development, and the first four prototypes flew in June 1977. The design followed that of other jet trainers such as the BAE Hawk and the Alpha Jet, but was less aerodynamically sophisticated, with an unswept wing, and it had limited weapons capability.This time two models are in the files, Patrulla Aguila & AGA decals, and Landing and flying types.

It is a jet trainer and ground attack aircraft designed and manufactured by CASA, based in Madrid, Spain. The C-101 is currently operated by the air forces of four countries: Chile, Honduras, Jordan, and Spain. Over 151 aircraft are in service with the Spanish Air Force. The C-101 is a high-performance aircraft capable of carrying out ground attacks, reconnaissance and photographic missions, and electronic warfare countermeasures.     In a joint venture with Spain, Enaer developed a version of the Spanish CASA 101 Aviojet fighter, called the T-36 Halcón (Falcon), to replace the Cessna T-37 in the advanced trainer/light-strike role. Fifty-six of these aircraft were in service with the FACh. A radar-equipped maritime strike version, designated the A-36M and armed with the British Aerospace Sea Eagle air-to-surface missile, was also developed; it was flown in prototype form in 1992. This small advanced trainer is built under license from CASA in Chile by ENAER and is used also as a light attack plane. The Spanish designation is CASA C-101 Aviojet and the Chilean one is Halcón.
