BBQ 97mm to 40mm Blower Server Fan Duct press fit 1012 KH302 3D Print Model
Summary
this should also fit ANY fan with a output size of ~58mm x ~33mm
i designed this blower duct to attach to a Delta KH302 BFB1012EH blower fan, to use for stoking a fire pit which had a 50mm pipe put through it with air holes. to allow the middle of the fire to suck in air from outside
the outside of the top circle is 40mm and 33mm between the two flat sides.
it is a press fit onto the output of the fan.
thickness of the walls is about 2mm, however it does get quite thin in a couple of spots where the fan presses in.
Haribo Prusa i3 mk2
printed at 60mm/s
0.2mm layers
ABS @ 245C with a 40% fan in a enclosure which reaches about 50C
supports are required for the lip where the fan pushes in until.
this lip is about the same thickness as the fan case, so has a nice smooth airflow.
yet to test this on the fire pit, hoping that a 12v 3amp fan, moving a lot of air through the plastic will keep it cool enough to not melt. (thus why the walls are only 2mm thick)

Hot Wheel Track 180 deg Turn, 45 deg Bank, 40mm Drop 3D Print Model
Summary
(Debuted at #mrrf2018)
This 180 degree turn with a 45 degree bank and 40mm drop hot wheel track has the ability to be mounted via a m5 x 6.7mm heat set brass insert from McMaster.
Step and fusion 360 files are included if you want to modify the design. Very likely you will need to do some clean up in the mounting slots. I am working on a tongue version of this same part, please subscribe to my profile if you would like to know when I release that part.
Happy printing. -

Minimalistic fan bracket / mount for 40mm fan on a nema 17 3D Print Model
Summary
I wanted to put a fan to a drive motor (nema 17), but do not have a lot of space for it, so I created this minimalistic fan bracket. Not ideal in any way, shape or form, but it does provide some cooling when there is little room for a fan.
Mount the bracket to a 40mm fan and glue the centre part with CA glue to the motor. Nothing more to it.

E3d 40mm Fan Mount 3D Print Model
Summary
First Fusion 360 model I feel comfortable sharing, not perfect, but works great for me. Time for me to start contributing.
Made to fit the real E3d V6 hotend found here:http://a.co/hnA3NVu
Highly suggest PETG or Nylon, I printed mine in PETG and it’s rock solid and has not loosened in over 20hrs of printing.
Material – PETG or Nylon
Support – No
Infill – 100%
You will need to flip it 180º on the build plate as it’s upside down and don’t know how to correct it after the model has been drawn. 🙂
Feel free to leave constructive feedback.

E3D V6 40mm Fan Mount 3D Print Model
Summary
My E3D clone fan was just to loud and I had the feeling that I got heat creep, so I wanted to get a bigger (40mm) and therefore quiter fan.
I liked the snapon design of this (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:354723) and this (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2058949) but it was just to bulky and didn’t quite fit with the hotend and carriage.
I also liked this (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:506958) design with the angled fan, but the snap on didn’t fit for me.
So I kind of took both ideas and combined them in one design.
WIP ideas:
The only issue I have is, that the air blows through the E3D just fine, but has no propper path to escape, so it might flow down to the printing area. If anybody has suggestions, put it in the comments and I might try it. -
