Should use food-safe filament, and wash well and de-burr to remove any tiny loose filament. Remember that if you’re using regular PLA, hand wash in soapy water, not too hot, and do NOT wash in a dishwasher that uses hot water, heats water, or has a heated dry setting. I use MakerGeeks Raptor PLA and PETG for cookie cutters (can use ABS, but I don’t print with it at all). -
EV J1772 Type 1 Connector Dust Cap – Various types 3D Print Model

Hey guys,
First design here after using many from here! After I couldn’t find a design I liked for a dust cover cap for my Type 1 lead I decided to design my own. Although my lead is normally partially covered I would find sometimes after heavy rain my external charger would trip, I assume due to moisture in the connector. Having recently got a 3d Printer (Anet A8) I figured I would make my own!
I have 4 .stl files here:
1 – EV Type 1 Connector Cap: bog standard cap, with no real way of securing it anywhere.
2 – EV Type 1 Connector Cap with hole: same as above but contains a loop hole to attach to the lead. My initial thoughts was to use an elastic band to attach it
3 – EV Type 1 Connector attachment: For use with 2). Is simply a connector long enough to attach it to most leads
4 – EV Type 1 Connector Cap with connector: A cap with no loop, instead with the connector already attached. This is what I’m currently using in the pictures above.
All 4 are pictured above
Printed using TPU filament, so it has a little give whilst attaching it. Its a nice snug fit on the end, which means it doesn’t come off when you try shaking it.

Sculpted in Oculus Medium. Done from memory without a reference photo, so the proportions are likely off.
I suspect that to print it well, you’d need to slice it in half head/tail, and print with the flat cut faces down. Should scale well to the limits of your printer. -

3 in 1 150W Discharger Voltage Tester Balancer For Lipo Battery 3D Print Model
Summary
Housing for the 150W lipo discharger that many RC guys are using. Has a press fit compartment for the actual controller and holders for the three light bulbs fixtures. The light bulb controller and all wires are located underneath the controller. There is also a storage compartment with a slide out cover to hold the battery cable and the three light bulbs when not in use. The unit ships with a Deans style T connector and I purchase a 9″ long XT-60 adapter cable and it is about the perfect length to be able to store and still easily reach the battery balance connector location when in use.
Hardware Required
Qty 18 x 4-40 Socket Head Cap Screws 0.500 long. (6 for bulbs holders & 12 for cover)
Qty 6 x 4-40 hex nuts (for light bulb holders)
The 12 screws for the cover can be shorter (I wouldn’t go less than 0.250 long) but the design will accommodate up to 0.500 long.
The threads for the bottom cover are designed into the part, but the screws will end up cutting the plastic a bit on first installation. I find it best to go slow with the screws about 1 turn at a time and then allow the screw to cool before continuing. When turned continuously the screws will get hot enough to melt PLA and ABS and destroy the threads.
I printed in PLA and have successfully discharged a 1500mah 4S battery from 16.8v to 14.8v without any overheating of the plastic parts (all 3 bulbs were on). However the bulbs get VERY HOT, DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED. I have not tested higher voltages than 4S.
Design files are included for easy modifications, Print Files are high resolution and do not always render on the thingiverse server.

1 1/4″ Dowel Holder for Slat Wall 3D Print Model
Summary
This here is a simple yet efficient slat wall spool holder. I have these placed above our printers for easy access to multiple materials. The holder size is for 1 1/4″ dowel rod.
I went for 30% infill and it is working very nicely. I wouldn’t recommend loading more than 4 x 1 KG spools for every pair; just place the brackets 16″ apart.

1 gallon paint can metal melting furnace interior mold 3D Print Model
Summary
A mold for the internal chamber of a paint can furnace using furnace cement. The nozzle of a bernzomatic ts8000 map/propane gas torch goes in through the side with a 10 degree slant towards the top to help disperse the heat from the bottom to the top of the furnace in a vortex. Place part 1 in the bottom center of the can and hot glue it in. Then fill the bottom of the can evenly with 1 1/2 inch or 38mm and let it set. Then put the mold inside of the can centered with the stem against the inside wall of the can where the entrance hole for the torch will be. Fill the rest of the void between the mold and the can with furnace cement and let it cure. I used sand in the center of the cavity of the mold to hold it in place. Cut the entrance hole for the torch in the side of the can and use the torch to burn out the mold. Part 1 is a drain hole in case of crucible failure. -
